  • There is possibly a house church hosted by the Maltby’s in Warkworth
  • The Revolution used to have some street churches in Snells Beach and Warkworth, but it doesn’t look like they are running now.

  • Red is an adventure into being the church in Albany in the 21st century – contact Matt Lilly 021 727867
  • West Auckland – Gary Martin and Chris and Keryn Lovie-Tyler have a house church meeting on a regular basis.
  • Oratia – there is a SDA (Seventh Day Adventist) house church that meets in Oratia – see their website
  • Te Atatu Peninsula – a house church in Te Atatu Peninsula inspired by the visit of Gene Edwards in 1999. Contact Mark Boyd – see their website.
  • Te Atatu South – Kathleen & Sauni Sio have a ‘home fellowship’ Le Fale Tatalo (House of Prayer) meeting in Te Atatu South on Saturday nights Ph 837 2281 or email. Linked to Emmanuel Fellowship in Manurewa
  • Mt Roskill – Mt Roskill Baptist church has a house church attached to it – it sounds like a very good model for this type of relationship. Contact Sean & Cathy Marsden
  • Mt Albert – There’s a multi-cultural house church meeting in Mt Albert for Hebron House residents.

Tauranga House Churches



  • Paul & Tertia Norris have a small group in Whakatane/ Ohope who meet to study the bible and for fellowship – their contact details are 027 311 8370 or They are linked to a church of christ, non denomination church but have been meeting in houses for a year in Whakatane. They base themselves on what the Bible says in the New Testament.

  • DOVE Christian Fellowship – Gisborne: Bryan & Michelle Bayley
  • Extensionz – Gisborne: Heather Alexander
  • Kaiti, Gisborne (Cambridge Terrace area). A house church that meets for an open meal 6pm Sunday evenings, karakia 7am Wednesday mornings and korero/study/karakia 6.30pm Thursdays. They also help support local projects in our neighbourhood and provide accommodation for families in need on a short or long-term basis depending on how the need matches our capacity at the time.   • Diamond Harbour Christchurch – Paddy Chrisp (ph 03 329 3020,  0276 7607 11) would like to start one over, with the dream of having a youth mission as there is nothing for teenagers there by way of church – he’s keen to be in touch with other christians who currently travel out of DHB to Christchurch for worship etc
